This two-session unit from the Connect series for junior high classes deals with the image of bread as it is used in the Bible, with particular emphasis on how this image can help us to better understand Jesus and why he is referred to as the "bread of life."
Session 1: Bread As Sacred Food - examines what bread is, how it is used in the Bible, and its significance as a Christian symbol.
Session 2: Many Grains...One Loaf - the focus of this session is to look at Jesus as the "bread of life," to examine Communion and to think about how we can help to feed our world both physically and spiritually.
