Did you know. . .
Candelabra: Latin candelabrum, candlestick, from candela, candle.
Candelabra is the term traditionally referring to a pair or more of large, decorative candlesticks often shaped as a column or pedestal and having several arms or branches for holding candles. A single member of such a set is referred to as a candelabrum.
The candle has been around as early as 3000 BC and since then, people have wanted to display and present their light. Candleholders (or candelabra) made of clay have been found dating back to 400 BC
While generally not needed today for lighting, candelabra and candlesticks are often used in as accessories or as part of the interior design. They are also found in many events and ritual activities as both a backdrop and setting piece.
