We started with Pampeana over 10 years ago. In 2006, we met two young glass artists from Ecuador with whom we still work. In 2008, we got involved with an organization helping in the promotion of Tagua products and in 2010, we created the Green Living Tree Collection that focuses on products originated from trees. Today, we have two collections; Pampeana Glass Art and Green Living Tree.

Pampeana Glass Art and Green Living Tree support Fair Trade standards for labor, environmentalism and social policy relating to production and distribution of Fair Trade goods as well as USA made products. Our focus is to work with individuals who have had limited opportunities (educational and economic) and help provide a path for them that allows the artisan to have a stable environment and help to move them from a position of vulnerability to one of security and economic self-sufficiency. Pampeana aims to empower these individuals by encouraging them to become stakeholders in their own organizations and to actively play a wider role in the design and development of handcrafted products. Additionally, we work with recyclable or renewable materials that have little or no impact on our environment.

We also strive to create balance between the work that is done in Ecuador and the one done in the U.S.-most products are created in Ecuador. Pampeana operations impact the lives of almost 100 families in the U.S and in Ecuador. When you purchase a product from Pampeana, you become an ambassador of Fair Trade principles, supporting equality and sustainability as well as helping to preserve our environment. Small steps in the right direction take us further along our journey to a better world for everyone.
