In the April 2 issue, LinC keeps the foolishness of April Fools’ Day going one more day. Each year we enjoy making one another look foolish on April 1, but are we willing to be “fools for Christ”? Sometimes living out our Christian faith can make us look or feel foolish, but the Bible tells us not to be ashamed of our identities as Christ’s followers. Key Scriptures: Job 28:20-28; Matthew 4:18-22; 10:37-39; Luke 7:36-50; 1 Corinthians 1:18-31. In the April 9 issue, LinC reminds us of the significance of Palm Sunday. Though this Sunday reminds us of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem for Passover, it also sets off a turbulent series of events that lead to Jesus’ crucifixion. It’s tempting to skip from the celebration of Palm Sunday to the joy of Easter; but it is important that we experience the full impact of Christ’s arrest, trial, and execution.
