Will the aftermath of the Great War spoil Joanna’s chance at love?
The Great War is over, but life will never be the same. Joanna Trapp lost the man she loved in battle. Plus, she misses the adventure of serving in the Army Signal Corps. Now she works at a boring job as a hotel switchboard operator back in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Thomas Ballard never left. He was unable to serve in the war and although he struggles with inferiority, life in a small, resort town continues to suit Thomas just fine. Since the aftermath of war and the scars it left behind, Joanne and Thomas might miss their chance at finding love. Can two such different people learn to accept not only their own but each other’s God-created individuality....or will love change them both?
