Minister Arthur L. Weathersby is a licensed Baptist Minister and preached his initial sermon on September 9, 2001 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was born again on January 21, 1996 at the Gravel Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Newark, NJ. Minister Weathersby was born in Buffalo, NY and grew up in a single parent home with his four siblings (Gerome - deceased, Kim, Clarence and Edward) and mother Rebecca Hinton Weathersby. He is a Vietnam Veteran who served beginning December 27, 1972 and was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army from on December 6, 1976. He graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, NY in August 1980 with an Associates of Occupational Studies Degree, majoring in Accounting. He subsequently attended and graduated from Medialle College of Buffalo, NY with a Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies in May 1988. He worked for 29 years with the Social Security Administration and retired on January 30, 2009 as the District Manager of the Glassboro, NJ Social Security Office. He received numerous awards during his career. He also belonged to various community organizations during the nine years leading up to his retirement which included: Executive Committee Member Wilkes-Barre, PA Chapter of The NAACP from March 2002 to April 2003; Board Member of Diversity Committee Wyoming Valley American Red Cross October 2001 to April 2003; Board Member Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce Diversity Committee October 2001 to April 2003; Board Member Diversity Institute College of Misrecordia Dallas, PA from October 2001 to April 2003; Founding Member of Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) Coalition March 2002 & Silver Life Member of the Wilkes-Barre, PA Local Chapter of the NAACP March 2002. Minister Weathersby is presently pursuing other literary projects as well as continuing to do the will of God
