The author came from a conservative Christian background in which there was no expectation of experiencing the power of God in today's world. Unexpectedly and somewhat reluctantly, God brought him into surprising encounters and experiences with the Holy Spirit. This book describes what happened when he embarked on this unexpected journey. Also, it provides evidence from the Scriptures and Church History to support the validity of these experiences.
