John Mills John Mills is a survivor from the disease of chemical dependency; he suffered twenty-five years with an addiction to the drug cocaine. He found his way back to emotional and financial prosperity by surrendering his life to the care of God. He has been drug and alcohol free for fifteen years. His success did not come without struggle. He completed two long-term drug rehabilitation programs at the Hazleton Institute in Minnesota; outpatients drug rehabilitation programs in Chicago Illinois, Kansas City Missouri, and attended hundreds of self-help meetings. For several years, he worked in substance abuse programs in New Orleans Louisiana, served as mentor at the Bridge City Juvenile Correctional Institute in Bridge City Louisiana, and facilitated worship services at the New Orleans Parish Jail. He is the founder and administrator of the substance abuse programs at Lively Stones Church of God in Christ in Altgeld Gardens, Illinois. He became an ordained minister in the year of two thousand six.
