The Prophet's Peril is the first book in the exciting new series entitled Backpacking Through the Bible. The series is designed to address contemporary challenges faced by children. It then reveals biblical principles that provide the children with solutions to these challenges. Jordan Page is having a bad day. She has learned that her father is up for a promotion and the family may have to move to Florida. She is scared. She does not want to make new friends or go to a new school. She is happy with her life and does not want anything to change. The next morning, Jordan discovers a new backpack. The backpack transports Jordan into the Bible where she meets Elijah the prophet. Over the course of their adventure, Jordan learns that she has to trust in the Lord to care for her no matter where she lives. Her faith is strengthened and she is able to go home and provide a source of encouragement for the rest of the family.
