What did you get out of your Quiet Time today?" was the question Jack Wyrtzen asked Lou that motivated him to start spending personal time in the Word of God each day. Over forty years ago Lou began using the Word of Life Quiet Time Diary, and from writing a paragraph or two on a passage each day Lou's hunger grew for the Word, resulting in this commentary that comes to you. This devotional commentary will help you: Study your Bible verse by verse with illustrations, explanations and application. Gain a historical, doctrinal and practical perspective on each book of the Bible. Get each member of your family involved with you in family devotions. Prepare to teach a small group or Sunday School class. Gain valuable information in sermon preparation as a pastor. Find a brief illustration topically for the passage you are studying.
