The Crossing of Two Roads
Being Catholic and Native in the United States
  • By Christopher Vecsey
This volume begins in 1598 with a description by Don Juan de Onate of the Acoma Indians' first contact with Christianity in New Mexico. It ranges through the encounters between the Huron and Iroquois and French Jesuits in the 17th century and on to Lakota encounters in the 19th century.
