God speaks, or "whispers," to Jo Denson's spirit through her everyday life and daily Bible reading, and shows her His works and promises, the "wonders," in the miracles that occur daily. God's word is full of promises. These promises are not meant just for us to have our way, but to reveal God's way. The author reveals the Whispers and Wonders of God in her life with examples of how she has done His bidding and the blessings that have followed as a result of her obedience. Her experiences are a guidebook to instruct the reader on how to seek God in his own life. Each chapter recounts an event in the author's life in which God revealed to her His will, and to which she responded. From the finding of a much-needed ten dollar bill to the near impossible purchase of a Steinway piano autographed by Vladimir Horowitz, Jo Denson has found God joyously working in her life. She also tells of one instance in which she selfishly decided not to heed God's call, and of her subsequent guilty conscience. She would never know what God had planned for her, what good deed He would have worked through her, because of her own self interests and because she chose not to put God and His will first in her life. We all have our own personal decisions of faith to make in our lives. Jo Denson has devoted her life to listening carefully for the "whispers" of God and to recognizing His glorious "wonders." Jo Denson has been assistant organist and pianist at First Baptist Church, Gilmer, Texas, for more than forty years. She has taught piano most of her life and is an active inspirational speaker.
