Eschatology is the study of Bible prophecy concerning the end-times prior to Jesus' return. Bible prophecies and our present-day world as shared in the newspaper, internet or through other forms of media, are clearly on the same page. I show how our very day is prophesied in the Bible, what is just around the corner, and suggest actions to take. I find this to be exciting and - honestly - a bit scary. Jesus warned us to be vigilant, to "Watch " If your house was on fire and you were asleep, wouldn't you want to be awakened? I desire to awaken and inform you. - Ted Bates, Author Ted Bates provides a good primer on three different levels in his book, Bible Prophecy and Today. Addressing the first level he notes the importance of recognizing the signs present today regarding Jesus Christ's Second Advent. Jesus' lamentation with respect to His First Advent states "because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you" can also be noted today. Next, the importance the nation of Israel plays in this current era cannot be overstated. Consequently, appropriate attention is focused on this country in order to recognize its biblical importance. And finally, a recurring theme in the book, is emphasis on the ultimate importance of making peace with God while there is still time. These three realms are advanced diligently by Ted throughout this book. Recognizing there are bound to be controversies with respect to interpretation of biblical prophecies, Ted works assiduously to substantiate his arguments providing the reader valuable insights and concepts worthy of consideration. - Bob Stuart, Volunteer Apologists Manager, Reasons To Believe
