Welcome to Seekers in Sneakers: Discover Jesus, an interactive Vacation Bible School where children use their investigative skills to discover Jesus. Geocaching activities will challenge children to dig into the Bible to find the way to Jesus. This journey of discovery has many twists and turns, so children will learn to ask questions, work together, shine their light in the world, gain insight from the Bible, and trust Jesus. Through worship and drama, Bible study, art and science explorations, and active games, children are invited to follow the example and teachings of Jesus in every place and every part of life. Welcome to Seekers in Sneakers, an interactive Vacation Bible School curriculum where children learn that everyone can make a difference in the world! The five Bible stories in this curriculum explore examples of people who experienced and brought about change in the world around them. These people provide a model for asking hard questions, working together to solve problems, reaching across differences, caring for all people, and imagining a new world. Kit includes two copies of each Leader Guide, one of each student booklet, Poster Pack, Music & Resource USB, two Invitation Posters, and samples of the Invitation Postcards and Student Certificates.

Five Bible stories include:

Day 1: Jesus the Learner
Discover Jesus in the temple talking with the leaders. He is only 12 years old, and people are amazed by what he knows and understands. He asks questions to learn more. We too can ask questions of God and each other. Faith Guide: Ask questions to find your way.

Day 2: Jesus Our Companion
Discover Jesus at the Sea of Galilee, where he calls four disciples to leave their fishing nets and boats behind and follow him. He travels, eats, and works with these disciples throughout his time on earth. We are all invited to follow Jesus. And we all need people to come alongside us as we live, learn, and grow in faith.

Day 3: Jesus Our Teacher
Discover Jesus at the top of a mountain preaching to a crowd! His Sermon on the Mount gives us wisdom for our lives and reminds us to let our light shine wherever we go. We follow Jesus, who is the Light of the World.

Day 4: Jesus Our Example
Discover Jesus at a home in Jerusalem sharing a special meal with his disciples. He surprises them by washing their feet, providing an example of how he wants them and us to live. Serving others is one way we follow Jesus. Faith Guide: Follow Jesus’ example of serving others.

Day 5: Jesus Our Helper
Discover Jesus on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Even after a long night of fishing, the disciples had not caught any fish. But Jesus showed up, giving them a miraculous catch of fish and then breakfast on the beach. Jesus also helps us and cares for our needs!
