The voice of one calling in the wilderness once proclaimed, "Make straight the way for the LORD." (John 1:23 NIV) And this Messiah would later explain, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3 ESV) Thus, the changing of a nation - the changing of this whole lost and broken world - begins with one spiritual rebirth at a time. This collection of poetry and prose is written to reflect this life-transforming glory of God. The works within will, at times, bring readers through valleys of death, doubt, and despair. But ultimately, these same works will lead them to the mountaintop of blessed assurance we can only find in the risen Savior.
