God used a young boy named David, armed with a sling and 5 stones in defeating the giant, Goliath. He chose Moses, a stuttering nomad wandering the mountains of Sanai in leading Israel from Egypt. God chooses the simple things of the earth in confounding the wise. He knows our weaknesses and he ask us to overcome them in achieving great accomplishments. Moses resisted God claiming his stuttering prevented him from grasping the destiny God envisioned. Moses trusting in God, overcame his speech impediment becoming one of the greatest leaders in history.As for myself, I was a bashful child that struggled with grammar and writing. I was also terrified of public speaking throughout my youth. Looking back on my life, I can see God's steady hand, placing me in leadership situations where I was required to face my weaknesses and fears. When I trusted in my own wisdom and strength, I failed miserably. When I obeyed God and preceded with absolute faith that he would see me through, I succeeded. By the time God placed this burden on my heart to share Leadership Fallen, I had learned his strength was far greater than my weaknesses.
