This is the story of a boy who grew up during the years of the Great Depression and World War II. The fifth son and eighth child in a non-Christian home, he struggled to find peace with God, became a committed Christian, and sought to live his life for Christ in his role as a student, a football player, a suitor, a pilot, and a war hero. God chose to call him into full-time ministry while he was serving with the air force. The girl he married became a devoted wife, mother, and pastor's wife. This is the story of a boy who rose from the depths of despair, confusion, and lack of faith, to be a committed Christian husband, father, and pastor.
