The Money and Time unit uses the Bible story included in 1 Peter 4:8-11 and Mark 12:41-44. As children of God, we are called to practice good stewardship by giving generously of the God-given gifts of our talens, our time, and our money.
Children will have the opportunity to learn that:
- stewardship is an important part of living as a follower of Jesus;
- as good stewards, we are to take care of the gifts God has given us and use them to serve others;
- there are many ways for us to use our talents, time and money to serve God;
- giving gifts of our time and talents is worth just as much to the church as giving gifts of money or possessions.
- all that we have comes to us as a gift from God;
- stewardship means being a good manager of all God has given to us.
