This book differs from most others addressing spirituality in that its focus is christocentric; that is, centered on the life of Jesus as the source of spiritual gifts. The authors do not attempt to describe faith or spirituality, instead they hope to evoke it through the retelling of the Jesus story.
Avoiding theological jargon and using language more accessible to the lay person than that in the Bible, the authors invite readers to discover for themselves what Jesus has done for the world and continues to do in the world. The invitation is offered in the form of daily readings from the four gospel accounts of Jesus' story.
The story itself is preceded by suggestions for reading and background aids for understanding the context of Jesus' life, and it is followed by brief accounts of how others met Jesus, along with the authors' answers to commonly asked questions about the Christian faith.
