Following the example of the “Society Rooms” of the late 1600’s and the Clapham Circle of the early 1800’s, Q Society Rooms are designed to gather small groups of leaders to dialogue, learn, and work together to explore how to express the Christian faith in a post-Christian culture. A Participant’s Book, Leader’s DVD and Guide, and a group project complete the Q Society experience, which will challenge every participant’s innermost beliefs and pre-conceived ideas about life, faith, the world, and cultural responsibility.
In The Kingdom Way of Life: Recovering a Holistic Understanding of the Gospel, host Gabe Lyons and DVD presenters Scot McKnight, Tim Keller, and Jon Tyson explore questions of gospel: What did Jesus really preach about in his ministry? How can I live out the gospel in my culture? What is required to advance the common good? In this Q Society Room experience, your group will get the big picture of the gospel and explore the gospel as a way of life. You’ll discuss how the message of Jesus can be lived out in the modern world and how all Christians can advance the gospel of Jesus today.
Lyons and Norton Herbst then help you and the group explore—through short articles by noted authors, transcripts from Q Talks (included in the Leader’s DVD and Guide), five meetings to discuss important topics related to the overall theme, and thought-provoking questions— a practical look at the gospel Jesus taught and how to live it out today.
