This two-session unit in the Connect series for junior high classes young people will wrestle with the question, Lord when did we see you hungry and give you food?
The unit will examine and respond to the biblical mandate to treat persons, especially those who lack daily essentials for life such as food, with justice and compassion.
Session 1: What Can I Do About Hunger? Youth will begin to think about hunger and consider concrete ways in which they can respond to it as a result of their Christian faith.
Session 2: Why Are People Hungry?
This session will help youth recognize that famine, poverty and failure to become involved are major causes of hunger.
