Listen...to the words of the Scripture, and in them discover God's message for you today.
Look...at a brief verbal snapshot from the scrapbook of contemporary life and discover its connection both to you and to the Scripture passage.
Live...inside the Scripture to discover its context and message; then allow the Scripture to come alive in you and cause you to live out your faith in new and more-effective ways.

“Nothing is impossible,” we optimistically claim. Do we really believe that? Even if we do believe something miraculous can happen, it does not necessarily follow that we believe it will happen.
Some things, we know, are hard to believe. It is impossible to imagine Jay Leno not making fun of politicians. It is hard to imagine Israelis and Palestinians getting along with one another. It is hard to believe that the dead will be resurrected. Common sense tells us it is not biologically possible for ninety-year-old women and their one-hundred-year-old husbands to conceive a baby.
We may say that we believe many things, but deep down our reaction to the creed we speak or to the words of Scripture we read may well be like that of Abraham of old. When Abraham was told that his elderly wife Sarah was to have a son, he “fell on his face and laughed” (Genesis 17:17). We may want to believe what God says, but some things that God says just seem too big to swallow.
