Hope is waiting in faith. It is not merely wishing for something to happen or hoping everything will work out if the stars align. Hope is waiting with anticipation—at times, with impatience—for what you know and believe is coming. In Hebrew, the word for rope and hope are the same. Hope is something outside ourselves that tethers us to safety and helps us keep going, even when we can’t see our way. Hope is prevalent during the season of Advent, and this unit is a great choice for any advent season. Multiage Children Leader's Guide. This leader’s guide is for children ages 6–10. It contains helpful information for the leader, including information about children, background information about the practice, a note about supplies, and other helpful information for each session. There are symbols for each activity within the session that allow a leader to see at a glance the type of activity and customize each session for their group of children. Each session includes resource pages and “Practicing the Practice at Home,” which may be copied, printed, or sent out electronically to participants. There are other helpful pieces for multiage children in the Congregational Guide.
