History Channel’s mini-series "The Bible" was an enormous Lenten season hit, drawing more than 10 million viewers per episode during its five-week run. As many as 4 in 10 Americans watched at least part of the series. The Bible (the book) is full of great stories that translate well to television and movies. But Scripture is much more than a collection of entertaining stories. Taken together the books of the Bible tell the overarching story of redemption and salvation through Jesus Christ. LinC explores ways that we, as God’s people, can tell this story in engaging and faithful ways. Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 26:1-11; Acts 8:26-39; Revelation 22:18-19. As the school year winds down, many students will be taking a break from studying for finals, making prom arrangements, and battling spring fever to attend awards banquets. Athletic departments, music departments, theater departments, honor societies, and school newspaper and yearbook staffs will celebrate the accomplishments of the students who participate in these activities with catered meals and well-rehearsed speeches. For those who strive for awards and recognitions, award-banquet season may be the highlight of the school year.
