Discover the powerful Christian principles of gratitude, prayer, and faith.
It may come as a surprise to many, but faithful churchgoers do not necessarily regularly support their church financially. The Generosity Challenge is a four-week group study that will appeal to those who are in the pews every Sunday, but who have not yet committed to monetary giving. The study offers a weekly reading accompanied by seven days of challenges in the forms of self-assessment, journaling, and prayer. After 28 days, members of the group study are encouraged to embrace a life-giving journey toward generosity and provided a road map on how to get there. The supplementary DVD sparks discussion and the leader helps in the back of the book allow anyone to lead the group. A devotional is also available.
The 28 devotionals—written by the diverse group of pastors, business and church leaders, speakers, and authors who make up the Horizons Stewardship Team—are gathered into four weekly themes. Each reading includes Scripture, a message containing personal stories and anecdotes, and a challenge to inspire the reader toward the discovery of the powerful Christian principles of gratitude, prayer, and faith—all which will lead them back to the generous life they were born to live.
