Commentary to the First Epistle to Corinthians

An exegetical-pastoral commentary, with a close and informative style. It provides a pastoral approach that, while remaining an academic book, is practical and relevant to our day and, very concretely, to the context of the Latin American church of today.

The first letter of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians is one of the most commented books of Scripture. And some of his passages are among the most used and cited of the entire New Testament: in chapter 11 we find the words spoken regularly in the celebration of the Eucharist or Holy Supper: "For I received from the Lord what I also taught you: That the Lord Jesus, on the night he was delivered, took bread; and having given thanks, he broke it and said: Take, eat: this is my body that is broken for you ... "(1 Cor. 11: 23-29); in chapter 13 those used in most weddings: "If I speak human and angelic tongues, but have no love, I come to be like bronze that resonates, or a cymbal that retreats ..." (1 Cor. 13: 1-8).
