Psalm 107:2 says, "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so." The one the Lord has redeemed should be saying something. We should be speaking in agreement with our Redemption. Psalm 34:12-13 highlights something about the person who wants to be pleased with life and see many good days. It indicates that this person has to speak a certain way. These are just two scriptures that provide information and instruction about our speaking. The Lord approached Abraham and told him how to speak in Genesis 17:5. The Lord did this to produce a certain outcome in Abram's life. Abraham's name was still Abram at the time and the Lord told him to start calling himself Abraham (which meant the father of a multitude). Abraham had to learn to speak a certain way. The Lord has done the same thing for us that He did for Abraham. He has given us information about words and instruction about how we should be speaking so that it produces certain outcomes in our lives.
