Beginning in the very first chapters, and throughout the entire Bible, the Lord identifies leadership characteristics and the impact on the followers of good and bad leaders. Mr. Ykema served as a leader throughout his life, in his family, in the churches and Christian ministries of which he was a part, and in his professional endeavors. His experience includes 63 years as a registered professional engineer, working in the electrical engineering industry and in related national organizations. He also served on the boards of two churches, a Christian school, and a theological seminary, including many years as chairman of each. Through these experiences and personal study of Scripture, he is well-equipped to address the Biblical precepts regarding leadership.
