Through an insightful journey within God s Word, Wilf shares the message God has given him. Like an Old Testament Watchman, providing a message that is both insight and warning, Wilf explores God s teaching with the reader, using personal anecdotes, theological discussions and deep revelations that lead to a richer, fuller understanding of the Bible, while providing practical day-to-day advice such as on love, patience, complaining, and what to ask for in prayer (and what not to ask for).
The author maintains a tone of humility and service throughout the book. His vulnerability and honesty build trust. He asks questions of the reader that the reader needs to answer to find God and to grow in faith.
Through reading this book, believers are motivated to find the answers that apply to their own lives, and be guided by the Holy Spirit in so doing.
About the Author
Wilf was born in 1939 on a farm in the Canadian prairies, just west of Edmonton, Alberta. In 1956 he graduated from high school and began work with the Alberta Ministry of Highways. In 1960 he moved East, to a small village near Ottawa, Canada; married his wife in 1962; had three children; and in 1978 set up his own company doing core drilling and lab testing. He found Christ at a young age, lost that relationship in his 20s, restored it in his 30s, and has been writing this book, in parts, as inspired to do so, since then. As the book is written as God told him to write it, Wilf wishes to remain anonymous. "I am not an author; I have no writing abilities and rely on the Holy Spirit."
