Maggie Anderson wakes up in Grandview Nursing Home, unsure of how she got there. Maggie sets out on a mission to unravel this mystery, but becomes discouraged upon realizing that she has lost the ability to move or speak. During brief moments of coherence, Maggie tries to sort through her broken memory for clues. What she finds are only a few past regrets, and plenty of sorrow. When Maggie is informed that she is dying, the black hole of despair threatens to swallow her completely. Too stubborn to be defeated, Maggie turns to God for assistance, but soon discovers that it is her surrender that will lead to final victory. With God's help and Maggie's acceptance, she is able to tie up all loose ends. God uses those around Maggie to unravel the mysteries that plague her mind. Prior to death God brings all the puzzle pieces together to unveil a complete picture of Maggie's life. Maggie closes her eyes for the last time only to discover that death was not the end of her journey, but merely the beginning.
