"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength": that sounds wonderful What things? Become a champion footballer? or a nuclear physicist? or a super model? or a rich tycoon? or the next president of my country? After all, the text says "
all things," doesn't it? So why should we limit God?
Something tells us that there must be a fault in this interpretation, or else there would a superfluity of footballers, nuclear physicists, super models, and rich tycoons. But many Christians don't think very carefully about this.
That's not only a problem; it is a tragedy. For God intends his Word to be understood. . .
