In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third movie based on J.K. Rowling's popular Harry Potter novels, Harry's life is changed when he comes face-to-face with Sirius Black, an escaped prisoner thought to have betrayed Harry's parents. Through this experience Harry struggles with the tension between justice and mercy and learns the true meaning of "family." In this issue of Reel to Real, youth will explore topics such as managing anger and loving enemies; they will discuss rule-breaking and mischief-making; and they will reflect on Christian definitions of family. This study also includes a "Marauder's Map" church service project and "Quidditch basketball."
