The National Basketball Association has begun its season. And Anthony Bennett, the top overall pick in this year’s draft, made his debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bennett recently revealed that he suffers from asthma and that his condition has affected his transition into the NBA. Nearly ten percent of children in the United States have asthma, and several high-profile athletes and entertainers have to manage the effects of the disease. LinC celebrates some of those people who have refused to allow asthma to hinder their success. We’ll also discuss times when we are exhausted, feel spiritually winded, and struggle to breathe in God’s Holy Spirit. Thanksgiving, the unofficial beginning of the holiday season, is just a few weeks away. The holidays are an occasion for celebrating with family, but sometimes getting together with family is more stressful than merry. All families deal with tension. This was true even in biblical times. But as God’s children we are part of another family, the family of faith, together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. While this family is not without its problems, it can offer us the strength and support we need when problems arise in our earthly families.
