A few weeks ago the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers drew a lot of media attention for sitting during the national anthem in protest of how people of color are treated in the US. He also received a lot of criticism, especially on social media. LinC talks about what it means to live in a country that affords us the freedom to speak out about our beliefs. Every semester (or for some people, every day) begins with one question: “Where am I going to sit in the lunchroom?” A new app, Sit with Us, aims to help break down some of that tension and create opportunities for community.
