Twitter, a popular “micro-blogging” service, allows users to post regular updates about what they're doing and thinking (known as “tweets”), as long as their posts are 140 characters or fewer. People can check or update Twitter by using their computers or phones, and many have found the service to be an easy way to stay connected to friends. This week we'll look at how we can stay connected to God and other members of the body of Christ in ways that are more meaningful than a 140-character “tweet.” Key Scriptures: Exodus 34:6-10, 27-28; Luke 8:4-8, 11-15; 2 Corinthians 4:7-15. The college football season has barely begun and already experts are speculating about the Heisman Trophy winner and the teams that will meet in the BCS title game. Time will tell whether these teams and players live up to the hype. In the meantime we, as Christians, need to be sure that our faith isn’t just hype.
