Everyone loves a story. Stories capture our imagination and generate emotion for life’s possibilities. In this issue of LinC, youth will explore the power and richness of the gospel story. For centuries people have claimed it as their own, bringing their individual faith stories to life. The same can happen for you and your students. Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 34:1-5; Matthew 5:17-48; Acts 11:1-17. It takes a community of faith—including older adults—to make disciples of young people. Many teens and older adults alike have a misconception that older adults can’t “relate” to teens. On the contrary, these seasoned citizens have much to offer, especially their wisdom. In honor of National Grandparents Day, next week’s LinC will help your youth recognize the blessings and wisdom older adults can bring to their lives.
