The new teen comedy I Love You, Beth Cooper tells the story of geeky valedictorian Denis Cooverman after he professes his undying affection for popular head cheerleader Beth Cooper during his commencement address. Beth finds Denis's confession charming and takes him on the adventure of his life. Though Christians won't condone all of the goings-on in the movie, we can definitely affirm the film's basic message: Every moment is precious, and we have no time to waste on regrets or missed chances. For Christians this means embracing every day as an opportunity to use our gifts, abilities, and energy in service of God and others. A big part of getting ready for a new school year is buying new school clothes. Next week LinC looks at what our clothing choices say about us.
