In the July 10 issue, LinC takes a look at one of the most anticipated films of the summer: Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel War of the Worlds. In the story, an alien invasion shocks the world and sends many people into a panic. Aliens aside, we all have experiences that leave us anxious, afraid, or panicked. The assurance of God’s presence will help us keep our composure and our faith during these difficult times. Key Scriptures: Exodus 14:10-18; 2 Kings 6:15-17; Luke 21:25-33; and James 4:13-17. In the July 17 issue, LinC looks at the classic tale of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This summer the familiar story gets a new look and asks a new generation: What do you crave and how do you satisfy your hunger? As Christians, we know that God will give us our "daily bread" and that the Bread of Life will satisfy our hunger entirely.
