What will you be reading this summer? Do you have any summer reading assignments from school? Are there any books you've been meaning to read for leisure? Regardless of what you're planning to read this summer, you should add one more "must read" to your list: the Bible. It's full of fascinating characters and all types of literature. This week LinC looks at getting in the habit of reading Scripture both as individuals and in Christian communities. Key Scriptures: 2 Kings 23:1-4; Luke 4:16-21; 24:13-35; 2 Timothy 3:14-17. Will Smith returns to theaters this summer as Hancock, a superhero who must rehabilitate his poor public image and learn to use his gifts for the greater good. With the help of a public relations consultant, Hancock learns how to rise to the occasion and become a hero whom the people can embrace. Next week LinC looks at ways in which we all can rise to the occasion, giving the world our best in Christ's name.
