It’s spring, a season when lots of people spend weekends and afternoons outside, working in the garden. There are all sorts of gardens, each with its own purpose. And every type of garden must be carefully tended, each in its own way. As followers of Christ, we must tend to our spirits much as a gardener tends to his or her garden. LinC talks about the many ways in which we can tend our faith so that we can grow in our relationship with God. Key Scriptures: Genesis 3; Matthew 26:36-46; Luke 4:1-13; 1 Corinthians 3:1-9. History Channel’s mini-series The Bible was an enormous Lenten season hit, drawing more than 10 million viewers per episode during its five-week run. As many as 4 in 10 Americans watched at least part of the series. The Bible (the book) is full of great stories that translate well to television and movies. Next week we’ll look at how we, as God’s people, can tell this story in engaging and faithful ways.
