While the media tends to focus on high-profile athletes (such as Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn), each of the competitors at this year's Olympiad have earned his or her way to Vancouver through years of commitment and discipline, two virtues Christians often associate with the Lenten season. Tomorrow is the first day of March, and dozens of college basketball teams are hoping that, in the coming weeks, they can win their conference tournament or put together an impressive at-large profile and earn an invitation to the "Big Dance" (the NCAA Basketball Tournament). As Christians we can experience "March Madness" every month, because we've already been invited to the big dance (or banquet—Luke 14:15-24).
