Allie stares out a diner window at her mangled car. There was a freak accident in the middle of the desert and a guy named Vinnie rescued her, bringing her here to the roadside diner he owns. The diner is full of people who shouldn’t be here. She turns her attention back to the view out the window and watches as EMTs pull her own body from the wreckage. That settles it.
