How does a Christian, living in what was once the Midwest United States, live as a child of God in an Islamic controlled world? Both coasts of the former United States have been destroyed and made uninhabitable by Islamic terrorists with nuclear weapons. Now the habitable Midwest is part of the Islamic Superstate with headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. St. Louis is the ruling center of the Midwestern Caliphate. Just across the Mississippi is Belleville, a city in the former state of Illinois. Here is where Bill Maserek, a high school English teacher and sincere Christian, must come to grips with his place and mission in this new world. There are friends, some within his own fellowship, who are seeking a violent overthrow of the government. Others want to peacefully coexist with their Islamic neighbors, becoming leaven for the dough of their society. Those who confess Jesus Christ as Lord find comfort, guidance and strength in God's Word. "Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you... However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name." (1Peter 4:12-16) "The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever." (Revelation 11:15)
