In The Old Testament of the Old Testament Moberly has looked at pentateuchal criticism from an altogether fresh angle and has registered far too many stimulating and provocative items for discussion than could or should be catalogued here. He has asked important new questions, not just provided an array of footnotes to a method received without further ado. Anyone who has bothered to keep up with recent moves in pentateuchal study knows that certain fundamental conclusions are being called into question, from a variety of different angles.
