In this study, Jacob Armstrong uses the lens of the Book of Nehemiah to explore the idea of spiritual renovation. In Session 6, The Big Reveal, we discover that the people of Israel responded to rebuilding the wall and their homes in a counterintuitive way: they reclaimed a long-dormant religious festival in which they left their homes and lived in temporary shelters for a time. In doing so, the people were called to remember a time when they had been exiles, to celebrate the goodness of the present moment, and to look to the future.
