What is God's destiny for this generation? Every generation is called to encounter God. But how does God want to be known and shared in this time frame, in this culture? There are revival treasures from previous generations that we need to rediscover, such as prayer and fasting, reverence for the Word, and the Blood of Christ. But there are also things that this generation is called to pursue - such as intimacy with the Father and supernatural compassion on the margins or the "highways". This means that the present generation needs to cast off the dead traditions of religion and embrace the living commands from God's Word and his Spirit. A generation of fearless giant killers is emerging that is not hindered by the present cultural decadence but enabled by God's commands. This freedom generation knows what it is to be set free and so they long to bring freedom to others. It is being mobilized "for such a time as this."
