Have you ever driven down the expressway going 55 mph and everyone around you is going 80 mph? I experienced this a few times in my life The truth is I'm thinking of one time when I received a speeding ticket going from Chicago to Atlanta and after that I was awaken to the fact I now had a violation on my clean record and it was going to cost me too I decided to stay in the right lane and go 55 mph or the speed limit the rest of the way home. The worst part about that experience was the attitudes of the drivers around me. They looked at me and frowned, they honked, came up right on my bumper and tried to intimate me to go faster, some even were angry at me for following the law which ended with their not so nice hand gestures. I felt quite uncomfortable. Living as a devoted follower to Jesus Christ as a single in the area of sexual purity in this society can be much like my experience on the expressway. The Love Life of a Single Christian Bible Study was created for single people in the church but can be a tool to reach single seekers also. It is a biblically based study that will guide and affirm Christian singles to live lives that honor God through sexual purity. The people that will most likely be interested are those who have been divorced, widowed or a single that have been saved or seeking Christ. It also attracts those who are in a dating relationship and want answers regarding sex. The purpose of the Bible Study is to encourage, support and strengthen singles so that they will stand on the promises of God versus the worldview about being single and sexually pure.
