We fight God for control of our lives because we worry that suffering will overwhelm us. We want safe ministries. Safe friends. Safe children. We want a safe future free of risk, hurt, and heartbreak.
But God isn't calling us to live safely--He is calling us to surrender. Some of God's greatest blessings are hiding behind those parts of our lives that are most difficult to surrender.
