In this three-session unit from the Connect series middle school youth will develop a healthy respect for their own physical appearance and come to affirm themselves as children of God despite their own and society's attitudes toward certain physical features.
Session 1: Who Decides What's Attractive? - helps teens begin to identify some of the societal and familial influences that affect self-image and body image.
Session 2: So How Do I Look? - helps youth begin to explore and verbalize their feelings about their self-image.
Session 3: More Than My Appearance! - helps youth begin to perceive that self-image is more than body image.
