Listen...to the words of the Scripture, and in them discover God's message for you today.
Look...at a brief verbal snapshot from the scrapbook of contemporary life and discover its connection both to you and to the Scripture passage.
Live...inside the Scripture to discover its context and message; then allow the Scripture to come alive in you and cause you to live out your faith in new and more-effective ways.

A young man was having serious difficulties. He was unable to stay in college or to hold a job. He was increasingly delusional about what was going on in his life. Family and friends tried to convince him that he needed to seek medical attention and counseling for his undiagnosed problems, but loudly and angrily he refused to heed their advice. Finally, having gotten to the point where his family refused him further financial help, facing homelessness and life on the streets, he allowed himself to be taken to the hospital. There he consented to medical treatment and began the long and painful process of moving toward a healthy life.
Upon his “exile” to the hospital, with a growing acknowledgment on his part of just how ill he was, his family once again began to provide the financial resources he needed. Their love for him had never died, but he had to be confronted with the consequences of his actions before he could begin to appreciate his family’s constancy.
In spite of the compassion of the Lord, Judah kept mocking the messengers of God and despising their words until such a time that there was no other remedy than that the Lord give them over to their enemies. Judgment may sometimes be a subcategory of grace.
